Wedding card: CAS mix up technique

Hello wonderful people! Hope you’re having a great day! Today I’m going to share with you, how I made a wedding card using a mix of various crafty-techniques – CAS + Inlaid die-cutting + Stamping + Debossing. Sounds like it’s complex, but actually, it’s very simple! So, let’s get started!…

I started of by die-cutting a rectangular panel for the front of the card using the largest die from the Lawn Fawn cross-stitched rectangle set. I used the cross-stitched border die from the Lawn Fawn stitched borders set, and and added patterns to the right-side of the card, to make them look like debossed pattern.  I die-cut a black frame by placing two of the dies from the Lawn Fawn cross-stitched rectangle set on black cardstock and feeding it though my big shot.

I die cut three black hearts using the Memory box stitched hearts set, and the couple from white cardstock using the Wedding Vows die by Cheery Lynn Designs. I also die cut the couple from the largest black heart die cut piece, and the heart from the white panel as in the image below:

I played jigsaw puzzle to lay the pieces together onto negative heart-shaped space of the white panel, so that, all of this would appear as a single layer.

I used my yellow distress mini ink cubes with the Altenew Vintage Roses stamp set and coordinating dies make those three roses, and adhered them at the bottom of the card with foam adhesive to pop them up, and make it seem like the couple is standing behind those roses! 🙂

I stamped the sentiment onto the smaller black hearts with Versamark Watermark ink pad, and heat embossed the sentiments with WOW! Silver pearl regular embossing powder. The ‘happy’ is from the Altenew Painted Poppy stamp set, and ‘wedding’ is from the Altenew Vintage Roses stamp set.

I kept the rest of the card simple and adhered the panel onto a white top-folding A2 note card. For the finishing touch, I added a pearl at the intersection of the hearts and some shimmer on the couple and the roses with my Spectrum Noir shimmer pen.

And… That’s it! 🙂 Here’s the finished card:
