You make me happy – CAS card

Hello and welcome! Thank you for stopping by! Hope you had a great weekend! Today I’m going to share with you a clean & simple (CAS) card, with the Poppies as the focus. Read on to find out how I made it!…

I die-cut a rectangular panel from white card stock, using the largest die of the Lawn Fawn cross-stitched Rectangles Set.

I used Lawn Fawn Lobster, Hippo and Black Licorice inks to stamp the poppies from the Altenew Painted Poppy stamp set. I stamped the top and bottom ones first with Lobster ink, then masked those two to stamp the poppy in the middle. I used the layering stamps with Hippo ink to make them look more realistic, and then used the outline stamp with Black Licorice ink. I also stamped the leaves and stems by masking the poppies and the stitched border of the card panel.

Oops! I got a splotch of ink on my card! Not to worry! I just used my kraft knife to scrape it off and then smoothened that area using a clean eraser. I ensured I cleaned my hands after this!

Then I stamped the sentiment “You make me Happy” from the same stamp set, onto the bottom-left of the card. I left a lot of white space on the top and left-side of the card to ensure that the poppies are in focus. To top it off, I sprinkled few clear sequins from the Snowy Winter set, and lined the inner border of the poppies with the Spectrum Noir shimmer pen. Finally, I glued the whole panel onto a white note card.

Here is the finished card! –
